Homemade highbanker sluice box. Everyone will tell you a small one will drop gold out the back but if you build it right then it wont. The best thing is it didn t cost much and works pretty good. This is just an idea i had for a homemade highbanker. A sluice box is simply a long narrow box fitted with a number of obstructions referred to as riffles.

Anything to make gold prospecting easier is worth the effort. Made with different parts. This cost around 30 and will get you some good gold if you know where to look. Your high banker will need standard riffles with miners moss as a lining underneath them.

When placed in a stream of running water the gold bearing dirt from the stream is fed into the sluice box where gold particles are caught by the riffles while the lighter dirt is washed away.
