Hu kwa tea review. Cruising the internet looking for a new teapot i came across mark t. It is said to be the finest obtainable lapsang souchong. I have some i have had for 4 years and it is still wonderful. Smokey but not overpoweringly so.

Yes it is smokey that s what a ls is but this has a sweet note to the aroma and that carries through into the tea which is rich and smooth and mellow. As expected the aroma is similar to a pine forest on fire or a freshly paved road. I have tried both the loose leaf and teabags. 19th 2012 lthough mark t wendell carries a considerable number of teas hu kwa is their signature tea.

I buy some new every year but i compare them and the 4 yr. I am not normally a lapsang souchong enthusiast but this one is quite compelling. Wendell s hu kwa tea is a beautiful offering of a lapsang souchong and according to their website it s considered a benchmark for chinese lapsang teas. So i ordered a couple of teas one of which was hu kwa.

This is an excellent tea. Wendell which was an eye opener. Review of hu kwa tea. The only loose tea i could find was twinings english breakfast which i enjoyed.

It s certainly wonderful from an aesthetic perspective with long slender.
