The surf city run 5k in huntington beach takes place along the historic route of main street and pacific coast highway. However given the current covid 19 pandemic there are changes that will have to be made for our 2020 celebration. Come out and enjoy an all american start to this terrific holiday by running along our parade route see the famous pier and beautiful pacific ocean before a gentle sloping return to worth park for the finish.

Onehb neighborhood parade july 4 2020 instead of the traditional 4th of july parade on main street and pacific coast highway the onehb neighborhood parade will tour across neighborhoods of huntington beach. The 2020 huntington beach main street 4th of july parade is modified and will not happen on main street due to statewide covid 19 restrictions on large events. Jason and i ended up running the whole race with some people in my running club.

People living along main street decorate their houses and set up for the big parade. The city and the 4th of july executive board have been working hard to plan a once in a lifetime alternative to our beloved traditional celebration. We will be donating at least 15 of each registration to homes for our troops an organization that builds homes for severely injured veterans. Huntington beach is a fun place to be on the 4th of july. I really enjoyed the energy of the whole event. It will showcase local elected officials front line heroes military and veterans other community dignitaries public safety vehicles and live entertainments all promoting solidarity and goodwill among the neighbors.
